Though not traditionally Italian, the margarita has made its way all over the world. This take on the classic cocktail uses Aperol to balance out the sweetness of the reposado tequila (and a bit of burnt rosemary to excite your senses as it hits the table - typical Italian style)
A match made in the Mediterranean. Victor Belmonte of Sicily wed Ola Marie of Calabria in 1931. As Chef Sheila was a young girl, she often spent time with her grandmother, Ola cooking in the kitchen. Inspired by her heritage of Southern Italy and a tribute to her grandparents, Sheila wanted to incorporate the dishes she grew up eating.
